Hello! My name is Jia Yi and I am a 2D animator/illustrator based in Singapore. 

I was trained in LASALLE College of the Arts, with a BA(Hons) in Animation Art.

While my passion lies in illustrating for books, I am also fond of building worlds through animation, storyboarding and concept designs.

​

In my leisure time, I enjoy creating illustrations with subtle storytelling and metaphors that reflect feelings that weigh me down. My goal is to create works that can impact and reach out to people who feel the same as I do, hopefully, motivating them in their difficult times.

 

Besides that, I have recently picked up an interest in graphic design and has taken up some online courses to build my designing skills. I believe that learning is a lifelong journey and I'm always open to new skills and challenges.

My usual tools are Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and TVPaint.

I also have experience in Premiere Pro, After Effects as well as 3D software like Zbrush and MAYA.
